Before every ride
(including shuttled rides) we will gather in the field at the South
Trail Head. View on Google Maps or follow signage once inside the park.
Below
is a basic outline for what typically happens at STOMP Muni Fest 2024.
As always, a few things are subject to change. You're free to branch out
on your own and/or do as much or little as you like or just hang out in
the field riding at the camp sight at OMSP South Trailhead. All
rides will take place inside Oak Mountain State Park. Watch our videos at this tab on our blog page to get an idea of what to expect.
Park Rules you should be aware of:
Alcoholic drinks are strictly prohibited at Oak Mountain State Park.
Quiet time at event camp site is 10 PM.
Photo & Video Disclaimer:
Be aware that many of our photos and videos will be put on public websites like YouTube and Unicycle.com. Let us know if you if you wish for you or your children NOT to be included in them.
Advanced Rider Definition:
Someone who can ride 7+ miles averaging 5+ miles per hour or higher taking minimal breaks.
Trail Legend
Green = Easy Trail
Blue = More Difficult Trail
BLACK DIAMOND = Extremely Difficult Trail

Thursday October 17 (Bonus Day):
• 3:00-5:00 PM - Slingshot Trail (Out and back BLACK DIAMOND). (ADVANCED RIDERS ONLY. 6+ hilly miles. We'll be moving quickly with few breaks. We'll shuttle inside the park to the start in large pickups with riders in the back pulling trailers loaded with unicycles. This group will stay together).
• 3:00-5:00 PM - The Lake trail (Green) with an optional longer version down Rattlesnake Ridge (Blue). (Beginners to Intermediate 3+ slightly rolling miles. We'll split into 2 groups if needed)
• 5:00-7:00 PM - Check in/camp set-up at South Trail head.

Friday October 18:
• 10:00 AM-12:00 PM - Johnson's Mountain (Blue) Trail. (Intermediate to Advanced Riders. 5+ hilly miles).
INTERMEDIATE
• 2:00 PM-4:00 PM - Rattlesnake Ridge (Blue) Trail. (Intermediate Riders. 5+ miles).
BEGINNER RIDE
• 4:00-5:30 PM - The Lake trail (Green) - We'll ride to the spillway and back. (Beginners 3+ slightly rolling miles)
• 3:00-5:00 PM - Check in/camp set-up at South Trail head. There are
plenty of trails to ride around the South Trailhead for those that want
to come early. If time permits we may have a short night ride on the
• 6:00 PM - Pizza around the campfire! (Everyone can chip in a little to cover expenses.)

ADVANCED RIDE
BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE RIDE
• 2:00 PM - Unicycle Basketball with Coach Jim Sowers. Come have some fun on the court!
• 4:00 – 5:30 PM – Fun race gathering in the field. We'll have some fun activities and awards. There will be small races on giraffes, 36ers, Honda & Nissan unicycles (Yes. Car wheels!) and anything else we can think of between now and then.
• 7:00 PM - Chinese Buffet at Hibachi Sushi Super Buffet ($14.75 Each) in Pelham, AL minutes from OMSP. Find their address at this link. Tell them you're with STOMP Muni Fest. They have a special room reserved for us.
• 7:00-8:00 PM - Family Trail (Green) Night Ride for those who bring lights.

Saturday October 19:
• 9:00 AM-1:00 PM Thunder & Lightning Trails (BLACK DIAMOND). ADVANCED RIDERS ONLY. Make sure to take plenty of water and snacks. This ride will probably last over 4 hours. (6+ hilly miles. BUT we'll be making frequent stops for video sessions. We'll shuttle inside the park to the start in large pickups with riders in the back pulling trailers loaded with unicycles. This ride is NOT an out and back. You'll have to be shuttled before and after the ride. This group will stay together).
• 9:00 AM - Lake trail (Green) with an optional longer version down Rattlesnake Ridge (Blue). (Beginners to
Intermediate 3+ miles. We will split into 2 groups if needed)
• 9:00 AM-4:00 PM - (Optional) OMSP Harvest Festival will be within walking distance of the South Trailhead. They will have lots of activities to enjoy. Here is the Facebook link to information.
• 1:00 PM - Lunch & free time. There are some great trials lines nearby too!. Nearby there are some short trails that can be completed in 20 to 30 minutes.

• 9:00 AM-12:00 PM - Lake trail (Green) or Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (Green) trail (Beginners to Intermediate 3+ Miles)
• 12:00 PM - Camp breakdown and cleanup.
Feel free to come any day that's convenient for you if you aren't able to ride the whole weekend. Just check the schedule above so you'll know where we are. Wendell Rotenberry's cell number will be available for registered participants if you're running late and we're already on the trail when you arrive. You're free to branch out on your own and/or do as much and little as you like.
